Full time role, Surgical Scheduler needed for an interventional pain management practice in New Jersey. This is the ideal opportunity for a professional to get in at the ground level with a rapidly growing and wildly successful organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Knowledge of the EMR called Eclinical Works (ECW) is preferred

Verifying necessary pre-certification/prior authorization are on file for procedures and imaging studies for PIP, W/C and Commercial health insurance. Applicant preferred to have thorough knowledge of insurance guidelines for procedures.

Scheduling patients for procedures and post-operative appointments.

Completing and updating booking sheets for procedures.

Making follow-up calls for patients to ensure they attend procedure appointment.

Assuring all clearance and lab results are received on time prior to scheduled procedures.

Management of doctors' procedure schedules and dates.

Coordination between departments to ensure patient care is handled efficiently.

Providing office support to all staff and management.

Processing paperwork.

Assisting with answering multi-line phone.

Handling patients inquiries regarding pre-certifications/prior authorizations.

A pleasant disposition and high level of professionalism are a must! Previous experience in pain management and pain intervention is preferred. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word and must be well written and spoken.
